models. The new Stroker exemplifies the tradition of the original legendary Stroker series. Its dual spider design maintains linearity and stabilizes the speaker in extreme excursion conditions. The new Stroker epitomizes high-output, high-performance subwoofers and has a linear operating range to an incredible 29mm in each direction.
The Stroker can handle an amazing 2000 watts of power and provides more than two inches of peak – peak excursion when loaded into a “High-Q” enclosure. Because of this extreme power capacity, a unique aluminum basket was designed to increase efficiency and thermal power handling while also reducing thermal compression. The voice coil is placed directly next to an aluminum heat sink that is integrated into the basket. The basket design employs external heatsinking to dissipate heat that is pulled away from the coil into the enclosure and away from the coil itself. In a sealed enclosure, this reduces the internal ambient heat by as much as 50%. Another technology breakthrough is the unique motor geometry, which allows extremely high excursions with shorter voice coils than conventional designs. This results in a woofer with extremely high SPL capability as well as high sensitivity with superior accuracy. As with Stroker Pro, Stroker can be on-site repaired with minimal effort and without the use of glue or set times.
